Unboxed Musicians is a dynamic collective uniting visionary artists who transcend musical boundaries.
Founded and led by Ye Jin Min, this project-based collective is dedicated to pioneering novel experiences in music. Our core mission is to unearth unexplored musical landscapes while integrating innovative elements such as technology and audience engagement, crafting unparalleled concert experiences.
Originally conceived as a solo endeavor by Ye Jin Min, Unboxed Musicians is poised for an official launch at the end of 2023, expanding with a diverse cohort of talented members. This expansion has been made possible through grants from prestigious institutions like the Yale Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking and the New World Symphony’s BLUE fund.
Our initiatives encompass an array of groundbreaking projects including: “New World, New Voices”, a new music project by fellows from the New World Symphony, while “Sounds of the Earth” provides an immersive concert experience with the theme of nature and climate change. Additionally, “Re:present” stands as a testament to our commitment to promoting the works of underrepresented composers through a blend of live concerts and video projects.
